Reseller Review

I do think it's high time for another review, dontcha? Although it looks like things have been really quiet on the blogfront, the two ladies of TBC have been rather busy in the background, coveting and gathering new darlings to add to their collection.

As you all know, since I've been stuck here, down under, where the bagscene is rather erm, lacklustre, to say the least, I've been doing all my bag-shopping online.  Apart from eBay (evil! evil! evil!) I've had some awesome experiences with a couple of our resellers listed on this site.

First of all, I scored my very first Chanel from  Glampot Boutique.  It is a gorgeous rare piece that I scored for a can't-resist-bargain price!  Lilian and David, who run the site (and the store), put the bag aside for me for a deposit and I picked it up a month later when I was back in Kay Ell for a short break.  The bag was exactly as described and after months and months of pondering, internal debates and bouncing thoughts off Elly, I'm close to saying that this Chanel was made for me.  It is a classic flap (I mean, you can't not get a Classic Flap for your first Chanel, can you??), but with a rather interesting twist.  I'm not ready to reveal it just yet because it just feels like a rather delicious secret to keep.  Sorry my luvlies!

Well, since that trip back home, Glampot have branched out and now have two shops.  One in Taipan, USJ and a newly opened one in Ara Damansara.  So, be sure to catch up with them on Facebook because that's where all the new goodies come on first (you know, just so you get first pick!).

Prior to that, I managed to score my favourite purse/wallet to date from Bagz Tale who are also big on Facebook and had it sent over to me here in Bris.  No special reason except for the fact that I needed something new :p.  They're great for pre-order items and will regularly make trips to Europe to source out your coveted treasures.  If you're just looking for something to spend your hard-earned cash on, they also have in-stock items on sale.  But the real savings come from placing an order with them prior to their trip.  Bagz Tale is based in Plaza Mont Kiara but have also recently opened up shop in The Weld.  I guess bagaholics in KL are multiplying and everybody needs a quick fix!  Plus, they offer 0% 24 month installment plans.  Yippee!

Most recently, I was looking for a bag that I could take on travels that would be sturdy, and not make me want to slit my wrists every time I had to set it down.  I picked up my first (and second) Le Pliages on a trip to Singapore and found them to be gorgeous bags that I could stuff all and sundry into, and not have a panic attack when I had to set it down on the bottom of a boat or get caught in the rain.  The Longchamp Le Pliages proved perfect for this.  In Singapore however, I went to every store looking for one with a long handle.  They were all sold out.  In the end, it was one of our listed resellers that helped me get my hands on a medium sized bag with long handle, just what I needed to carry around in Middle Earth (absolutely in love with Queenstown, New Zealand!).  However, there were slight glitches in the process and due to time constraints, I wasn't able to get the original bag I wanted but Chris of The Shopaholics Bar managed to solve my bag woes and off I was with a cute bag which I didnt have to worry about when feeding ducks or trudging in the snow.  Why did I opt for a Le Pliage from them if nearly all our resellers listed offered the same?  Why because they offered the best price, for this particular bag, of course.  Payment was via Paypal and the bag arrived via PosLaju.  Happy, happy, joy, joy!

So ladies, I think our (well, not as in Elly's and mine's, but our Malaysian) resellers are quite sassy when it comes to the latest bags and how to get them to you.  Just remember to shop around and be smart.  Please don't grab the cheapest bag you see on eBay without first doing your research.

Ta for now!

xoxo,
M
