Introducing Purses, Pastries, etc.

Methinks bloghopping is a valid hobby and should not be frowned upon. You get to travel and experience different sites and wonders from the comfort of your home AND in your jammies! Just be sure to get up once in a while otherwise you might end up with deep vein thrombosis (DVT)!

In one of my recent sojourns on the worldwideweb, I stumbled across a gem of a blog. I have since fallen heads over heels for it. You see, apart from our love of handbags, Malin and I also have a thing for illustrations/prints. Among our favourites are Kurt Halsey, Lisa Hurwitz and Fifi Lapin. When it comes to local artistes, my personal favourites are Yusof Gajah and Jane Yap.

Now, I most willingly would like to add Sara Bentley of Purses, Pastries, etc. to my list of favourite illustrators. The best thing about Sara is she too is a huge fan of bags, which you can easily judge from her illustrations. What a winning combo (for us) – handbag + illustrations!

Do you recognize any of the bags? Sure you do. She captures my new favourites – Chloe’s Marcie and the Proenza Schouler's PS1. Fabulous.

There are so many other great illustrations featured on her blog that you must simply see for yourself.

Perhaps I should contact Sara and commission a blog header, since the blog is now void of one, no thanks to my tinkering with the layout. What do you think?
