Welcome to 2011

Happy New Year my lovelies!  And with it, comes new desires, new wants and new obsessions!

I ended last year on a  high note (read: near broke) when it came to bags.  Starting with the Mulberry sale that I wrote about here, I then went on to drive the bank account into the ground with bag purchases that were more impulsive than coveted.  And, as you can obviously see from my absence to this site (if I looked at another bag, I was going to hurl), that kept me satiated.  For a while.

The end of the year took us back to KL for our annual break and despite all the sales, I managed to not. buy. any. bag. at. all.  (I scare myself sometimes).  As I was beginning to wonder if I had developed an impotency towards bags, my eye caught a pretty little thing slung on the shoulder of a girl at the airport.

Introducing my latest obsession.

Yeah, I know, this ain't nothing new.  It's been around for a few months already and I never thought to give it a second look, because as you know, I'm not too fond of the monogram with all its in-your-face logos.  Hence, the obsession with the SC Speedy in calf leather.  But when I saw it IRL, it did look really cute.  The shoulder straps somehow scrunch up the bag making it slouchier and thus, look smaller than when it is carried on the arm.  Soooo cute!

Obviously, for the ad photo above, the bag has been stuffed to death with paper and therefore does not look slouchy at all.

So, this is the obsession I'm kicking off the new year with.  What's yours?
